Women’s Health

Women’s Health encompasses many conditions that’s are ultimately related to our hormones! These may include:

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
  • Endometriosis
  • Fibroids
  • Adenomyosis
  • Heavy or painful periods
  • Irregular or absent periods
  • Pre Menstrual Tension (PMT)
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Peri menopause or menopause symptoms

Acupuncture can regulate hormones to help relieve many of the symptoms related to the conditions above. Some of these conditions can also affect fertility and therefore seeking treatment may improve your natural fertility.

Pain is also a common symptom for many of the above conditions and not something that should be normalised or expected for us to deal with as women. Acupuncture can help in reducing pain in these conditions and allow you to feel less of a slave to your hormones!

If you would like to discuss how acupuncture may help you through this time, I am only too happy to offer you a free 15 minute telephone consultation.

In the meantime you may wish to read a blog I have written about PCOS, acupuncture and fertility treatment here. Or a blog about acupuncture and menopause symptoms here

”Rachel is expert, patient and kind. She combines a friendly approach with her knowledge and professionalism and makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I am being treated for Endometriosis and have seen a great improvement in my symptoms since I started seeing Rachel; this is a condition which conventional medicine finds very hard to treat. I heartily recommend Rachel to anyone looking for an acupuncturist.”

”I went to Rachel as I was really struggling with day and night time hot flushes, up to 35 a day plus being woken up at night, as well as menopause related bladder issues. After a couple of sessions my symptoms were lessening and after 5 they are virtually gone. I am so pleased with my treatment, it feels as if I have got my life back. Plus it’s super relaxing to go and talk things through with a Rachel and relax with the acupuncture.”
